Ps3 component cable not working games

I think there might have been some nuance for it like p works for videos but not games or something but I could be thinking of something else. The PS3 doesn't take full advantage of the capabilities of component cables. I get resolution out of mine when I use components. However, I'm using an old era PS3. Be advised that Sony removed the ability to watch Blu-Rays and streaming HD video Netflix for example from the Playstation back in or so.

Part of all that proprietary HDCP crap that cased all the Blu-Ray manufacturers to remove components from their systems.

Only older model systems can do this, because it was a hardware revision, not a firmware revision. I use a Psyclone component cable which was expensive when I bought it back then for my PS2 slim.
